Sam, who portrayed Duke, the Bush’s Baked Beans canine, has died


Social media erupted with sorrow and sweetness as the general public realized that Sam, one of many canines who portrayed “Duke” in commercials for Bush’s Baked Beans had died.

Sam lived in Apopka, FL, along with his proprietor, Susan. Neighbor David Odom’s publish about Sam’s loss of life went viral on Fb, and Bush’s Baked Beans responded.

“We proceed to be overwhelmed by fan curiosity and their love of Duke. The connection between Jay and his beloved canine Duke is the embodiment of the BUSH’S model, and has been part of our household story for greater than 20 years,” Bush’s Baked Beans wrote on Fb on Tuesday. “Throughout that point, we’ve labored intently with a number of canines who portrayed Duke in our commercials, together with Sam.”

The corporate says Sam hasn’t performed “Duke” lately, but they’re “saddened by the information of his passing and are grateful to have had him depict Duke.”
